RICANSTRUCTED is a design company that’s devoted to the independence of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is the oldest colony in the western hemisphere. It has been colonized for over 500 years. The island nation’s colonization started with the Spanish in 1493 and ended in 1898 with the United Stated invasion of Puerto Rico during the Spanish American war. Puerto Rico went from being a colony of Spain to being a colony of the United States and has remained a colony of the United States since then. Throughout Puerto Rico’s history there has always been a culture of resistance and these designs are a reflection of that resistance.
