drown by vagabond©

she was beautiful
she had a strength
that was without comparison
all life came
from within her
when the moon was full
she raged and
she had a depth
no one was able to reach
for fear of being crushed
her mysteries
were sacred
and hers to own
and she would give up
i was foolish
to think she would
in fear and awe
as i drowned
in my unknowing
on a cloudless night
with a pale yellow moon
as my only witness
